In other Rent news, Tamyra Gray, who was a first season finalist on “American Idol” and finished in 4th place, will be starring as Mimi Marquez!
Tamyra will join the cast of Rent on May 29th. She can be seen until November 25th.
This is not Tamyra’s first foray into Broadway, as she made her Broadway debut in Bombay Dreams. She has also been seen on a number of television shows and movies, and has written songs for several other “American Idol” contestants.

I think she’ll do a good job…I love Rent…one of my all times favorite…my best friend was Mark in the Italian version…so proud of him!!!
