“Grease: You’re the One that I Want,” host Denise Van Outen was right when she predicted that we would see Derek Keeling, a “Danny” finalist, on elsewhere on stage. Derek, who came to be known as”Wholesome Danny,” is now starring in the reading of a new musical called Dreamweavers.
He has been participating in the reading both yesterday and today, May 21 and 22. This was an invitation-only reading, and he was obviously invited! He is said to be playing the role of Jack Jerome/Charles Prince, characters whose descriptions are “most eligible bachelor and ‘Prince Charming of New York.’”
The premise of the musical, according to its press kit, is thus:
“1950s New York City at a whimsical charm and modeling school. It is a feel-good show with heart whose themes explore the power and importance of believing in yourself and believing in your dreams.”
